To access the Scan Settings screen, click on Settings in the left navigation menu and click Scan Settings.
Scan Alternative Data Streams: Select this if you want Spyware Doctor to scan for alternative data streams.
Scan for Rootkit hidden files : Select this if you want Spyware Doctor to scan and remove hidden files associated with complex threats and rootkits. Such threats are otherwise difficult to remove by conventional means since they may be hidden to the operating system.
Lower Scan priority: Selecting this reduces CPU usage although it may increase the scan time.
