An Intelli-Scan will scan your system for any active malware or for malware that is set to activate at a later time. Use an Intelli-scan to quickly disable any active malware and return to your work. While an Intelli-Scan is effective in disabling any active malware, it will not remove all malware traces from your system. Therefore, a regular Full scan is recommended.

To conduct an Intelli-Scan, click Start Scan in the left navigation menu. Select Intelli-Scan and click Scan Now.

An Intelli-Scan checks the following locations:

• Running Processes
• Startup Locations
• Browser Cookies
• Browser Settings
• The Windows Hosts file
• Windows Registry
• Active X Objects
• Layered Service Providers (LSPs)

As the scan progresses, infections are listed under their threat categories. At the end of a scan, all infections found by Spyware Doctor are listed in the Scan Results screen. From here, you can configure Spyware Doctor to quarantine & remove, remove permanently or ignore the infection. See Scan Results.
