Spyware Doctor is capable of scheduling Full Scans, Quick Scans and Smart Updates, to run automatically at regular intervals.
To schedule one of these, complete the following steps:
Click Scheduler and ensure that the Summary tab is in view. This screen displays information about the current schedules for the Quick Scan, Full Scan and Smart Update tasks.
To display the current schedule of a task, click on the appropriate tab at the top of the Scheduler screen, or on Settings next to the appropriate task on the Summary page.
On the selected task's page, the following settings may be adjusted:
To unschedule the task, clear the check box next to Activate Scheduled Full Scan / Quick Scan / Smart Update.
Under the Scheduled Time section, enter the time that you wish the task to begin.
Under the Scheduled Pattern section, click Daily, Weekly or Monthly to change the frequency that the task will be executed. In doing so, options on the right of this section will change. You can alter these as follows:
Daily - if the Every option is selected, you can set the day interval of the scheduled task. If Every weekday is selected, the task will execute daily from Mondays to Fridays, excluding weekend days.
Weekly - select the day of the week that you want the scheduled task to execute.
Monthly - enter the date of the month that you want the scheduled task to execute. If a date is entered which exceeds the last date in any given month, the scheduled task is executed on the last date of the month.
Under the Settings section of the Full Scan and Quick Scan tasks, select Quarantine to quarantine an infection when it is found during a Scheduled scan, Remove to remove it, or Prompt me to display the Scan Results screen, where you can select which infections to either quarantine or remove.
When you have completed altering the selected task's settings, click on Apply changes.
The Summary page displays, where you will see the updated scheduled settings for each task.
