Familiarizing yourself with Registry Mechanic

Launching Registry Mechanic:


To launch Registry Mechanic, choose Start -> All Programs / Programs -> Registry Mechanic (folder) -> Registry Mechanic.


Opening Registry Mechanic will take you to the Main Status & Summary screen. You are now ready to start using the application.


You can also launch Registry Mechanic by clicking its icon on your desktop or in your Quick Launch bar. However, you will need to have configured these icon settings during installation for them to appear.


Tip : You can also configure Registry Mechanic to launch automatically on Windows start-up from the general settings screen.






Main Status & Summary screen


When you open Registry Mechanic, you are taken to the Main Status & Summary screen. You can access this screen from anywhere within Registry Mechanic by clicking the Status button in the left navigation menu.


This screen provides links to the most frequently used tasks, information on the version of Registry Mechanic you are running, and the number of problems found in the last scan.
