Microsoft Windows New

Microsoft Windows is family of operating systems for personal computers. Originally developed as a GUI to be used on top of MS-DOS the product range has now matured to a solid operating system in it's own right.

Various versions are available depending on the intended use. Consumer versions include Windows 95, 98 and Me (Millennium Edition), collectively these version are also known as Windows 9x. Business and corporate versions include Windows NT and Windows 2000.

Microsoft is releasing a new version of Windows called Windows XP which will combine the two current streams (Windows 9x and Windows NT/2000) into one product line.
