Surf+ usually infects your browser when you, or someone in your family downloads a Trojan Horse program such as a MP3 music sharing program which is given away without charge in order to get you to overlook that these nice guys giving you this great free program have discovered a pretty slick way to make lots of easy money. They infect your browser with ScumWare and SpyWare. The SpyWare sits in the background of your computer and collects information about everything you do while on the Net. It then sends all of that information to the ScumWare people so they can build a profile of your interests and activities and invade your privacy in the name of greed. The ScumWare part of their scam allows them to make changes to every web page you visit, turning plain text words into links in order to hijack you from the site you are enjoying and deliver you to some useless web site operated by someone who will do anything for an easy buck.
