License codes are unique to the product that you have purchased.  If you have purchased a new license instead of renewing your previous license, you will first need to remove your expired license in order to re-register with your new license.

To remove an expired license

You may remove an expired license by uninstalling the product which is using the expired license.

If you are using a PC Tools Security product, such as:  Spyware Doctor with AntiVirus or PC Tools Internet Security, please use the following steps:

1. Click on the Start menu
2. Click on Programs (or All Programs)
3. Select the folder labeled ’PC Tools Security’
4. Click on the icon labeled  ’Uninstall (product name)’.
5. During the uninstall process ensure that you uncheck the box labeled ’Retain Licensing Information’*
6. Finish the uninstall process.
7. Install the latest version of the product by downloading it here.
8. Once installed, register the product using your new license details.

If you are using a PC Tools Utility product, such as:  Registry Mechanic or Performance Toolkit, please use the following steps:

1. Click on the Start menu
2. Click on Programs (or All Programs)
3. Select the folder labeled ’PC Tools Utilities’

*If you do not encounter a check box with this label during uninstall, you may have been using an older version of the product.  If so, please contact support for assistance in removing the old license details from your computer.
