Spyware is 'nothing short of a pain'
There are many symptoms which could indicate that a system has become compromised by spyware, it has been noted.
Writing for Tech Articles, anti-spyware software reviewer Daryl Moore highlights poor application performance and frequent pop-up advertisements as warning signs that spyware may have been installed.
However, he points out that software which is "extremely easy to use" is available to help deal with such threats.
"Spyware is nothing short of a pain because of the problems it causes," Mr Moore asserts.
But he notes that there are "good software programs" available to ensure spyware does not become a significant problem.
He adds: "As long as you get a couple key features in the software, you can relax and let the software do its job."
Mr Moore recently wrote on the echievements blog that anti-spyware software is the most effective means of dealing with any infections which may have taken place.
