Security ignorance 'can be a disaster'
Ignorance can be responsible for disasters within PC security and users should be aware of the various online threats their machines face, an expert has warned.
Neeraj Gandhi, writing for Indian news source Express Computer, warned that failing to safeguard a machine from malware such as viruses and worms can be a costly mistake.
"Hackers and viruses are on a continuous prowl in the digital world and a minor slip can prove to be costly and disastrous," he stated.
Businesses must be particularly aware of online security risks as infection could seriously hamper their business, Mr Ghandi added.
Earlier this month, reporter John Jacob, writing for itvarnews remarked that the small and medium-sized business market in India has grown considerably over recent years, meaning many providers of anti-virus software are bundling products together.
This, he explained, means that firms can buy anti-virus and anti-spyware in packages which include a firewall.
