New network security solution launched
An online security solution aimed primarily at enterprises with high-security requirements has been unveiled by a UK-based internet security company.
Capable of catering for networks of computers with common interests, the encryption-based solution from Unisys makes it possible for computers to share data based on group policies.
Microsoft Active Directory is used in the system to create a group policy that covers a select group of computers, which are governed by session-specific encryption keys, reports Techworld.
The keys take data and scramble it through the US government-approved Advanced Encryption Algorithm enabling the data to move through networks securely.
"The secure parser we use, which is from a partner company Security First, creates brand-new keys for each session specifically," says Dave Gardiner, Unisys director of security technology and solution.
Unisys Stealth software is meant for Windows desktops and servers and comes with a hardware module for a Dell server, whose main job is to decrypt scrambled data that needs to be sent outside Stealth-based networks.
