Kanye West blames hackers for porn declaration
The online security of leading figures and celebrities has been thrown in to the spot light by US rapper Kanye West, who has revealed that hackers compromised his internet security and misused his accounts.
Recent reports that the rapper planned to launch a career in the adult entertainment industry have been attributed by Mr West to hackers who broke into his Gmail, MySpace and Twitter accounts.
"Now somebody has been hacking into my MySpace and somebody's actually hacked into my personal Gmail account and has been emailing people from it," he wrote in a blog post on his website.
He also went on to say that he discovered he had 12 unauthorized skype accounts under his name.
The revelation comes in the wake of an earlier hack on the rapper's Twitter account, which was used to launch an attack on comedy host Steven Colbert of the Colbert Report.
Barack Obama and other celebrities this month had their twitter accounts suspended briefly following a hacking incident.
