Internet Explorer 8 'will not solve internet software issue'
Online security experts have warned that the internet security problem known as 'clickjacking' will not be solved by Microsoft's latest Internet Explorer offering.
The online security issue involves cyber-criminals duping internet users into clicking web buttons without realising it, leading to unintentional software downloads and even triggering unwanted financial transactions such as stock trades, according to IDG News.
While Microsoft has attempted to offer a solution to the problem through its new Internet Explorer 8 (IE8) browser, SecTheory Consultancy chief executive officer Robert Hansen does not believe the measures included are enough.
"It's not a solution to clickjacking by any stretch of the imagination," he told the news provider.
"It's a vaguely mitigating factor for the very few people who use IE8.
"This is a solution which, even if everyone decides that this is the right way to do things, it still will take years and years of education."
Google recently claimed that spam and spyware levels are set to increase this year.
