Encryption tool for emails launched
A cross platform online security solution aimed at making email communications more secure has been launched by a UK internet security company.
According to Arten Science, sending an email is just like sending a postcard as the contents are easily visible and many people bothered by this can now have some peace of mind, thanks to R10Cipher.
R10Cipher works by taking text and encrypting it using up to 128 bit Blowfish encryption, a cipher text that can then "be copied into an email, saved as a file and attached to an email or just copied elsewhere".
"The recipient can use R10Cipher to open the file and view the encrypted contents, assuming they are in possession of the Shared Key that was used to encrypt the document in the first place," says the firm.
According to Arten Science, the encryption solution can be used for one to one private communication as well as one to many private echanges and similar interactions over a public medium among others.
