Encryption appliance for small companies launched
A new email and document encryption appliance that helps businesses enhance their internet security by preventing data loss and leaks is to be launched by Verizon online, reports PR Newswire.
Secure DOX which is to be launched later in the year by Verizon Online is targeted at small and medium-sized businesses and offers a "bundled service of email and document encryption".
Michael Ginsberg, president and CEO of Echoworx, said: "Small and medium-size businesses are concerned about protecting their data assets and are limited to choices since most do not have the IT staff of large enterprises to manage the complexity involved with encryption services.
"These important desktop encryption solutions offer SMB companies a series of important services to help ensure safeguarding data at every level."
According to the company, the document encryption service will make it possible for users to encrypt files and folders and put parameters on who can access the file.
