Brad Pitt 'most dangerous' man online
Brad Pitt has added another accolade to his list of awards after being named the most dangerous celebrity in cyber space, it has emerged.
The Hollywood heartthrob famed for films such as Meet Joe Black and Ocean's Eleven has beaten socialite Paris Hilton as the most dangerous celebrity to search for on the internet, according to online security experts McAfee.
People searching for "Brad Pitt," "Brad Pitt downloads," and Brad Pitt wallpaper, screen savers and pictures have an 18 per cent chance of having their PCs infected with online threats, such as phishing, adware and other malware.
"Cyber criminals employ numerous methods, yet one of the simplest but most effective ways is to trick consumers into infecting themselves by capitalising on interest in celebrity gossip," said Jeff Green of McAfee.
According to the internet security expert, Justin Timberlake comes in as the second most dangerous male while Beyonce and Heidi Montag top the list for women.
Last year's most dangerous was Paris Hilton who alongside Britney Spears seem to have lost their popularity as they did not make the list.
