Brad Pitt lands malware Oscar
Hollywood actor Brad Pitt may have failed to secure an Oscar for his role in The Curious Case of Benjamin Button at the recently held awards ceremony but he has landed a different one - with cyber crooks.
Malware Oscars have been dished out by online security firm Panda Security and Brad Pitt is the clear winner, leading the pack with 12 per cent ahead of Tom Cruise and Britney Spears.
Listing the most popular celebrity names used in malicious emails, the results of the survey, which also places Angelina Jolie in fourth place, highlight how cyber crooks are fascinated with Hollywood, the firm said.
The survey also listed phrases used in attempts to breach users' online security with "Angelina Jolie nude, Britney Spears hot images, Rihanna exposed and Scarlett Johansson spills boobs", listed among them.
Commenting, Jeremy Matthews of Panda Security said: "Cyber-criminals are always keeping track of the names that users frequently search for on the internet or those that often crop up in forums or social networks."
