Optimize Broadband PPPoE Connections (Windows Me) Popular

This setting optimized the IP MTU value so that there is reduced packet fragmentation when using a broadband connection with PPPoE (Point-to-Point Protocol over Ethernet).

Open your registry and find or create the key below.

Create a new String value, or modify the existing value, called "IPMTU" and set it according to the value data below.

Exit your registry; you may need to restart or log out of Windows for the change to take effect.
