Configuring Netmeeting to Use a Gatekeeper (All Windows)

These settings allow you to configure Netmeeting to use a H.323 gatekeeper to manage call addressing, billing and security.

Open your registry and find the key below.

Create a new string value called "Gatekeeper" and set it to equal the IP address or hostname of the gatekeeper.

Create a new binary value called "CallingMethod" and set it to "01 00 00 00" to enable the gatekeeper or "00 00 00 00" to disable it.

If your gatekeeper requires you to log on using an account name or phone number then also create the following value:

Create a new binary value called "GateKeeperAddressing" and set it to "01 00 00 00" to log on using a phone number, "02 00 00 00" to log on using a account name, or "03 00 00 00" to log on using both a phone number and an account name.

Specify an account name or phone number using this setting.

Restart Netmeeting for the changes to take effect.
