Change the Default Mailbox Sound Setting (All Windows)

When you receive a new message, a sound may not be played even though "Play sound when new messages arrive" is enabled.

This registry key displays the path to the Windows 9x and NT default "new mail" sound. It is recommended to first check the sound control panel to make sure a sound is selected for New Mail notification.
