Configure New File Sharing and Locking Semantics (Windows 95/98/Me)
This setting controls the file locking mechanisms of Windows, disable this setting only if you are currently experiencing problems with specific applications.

Open your registry and find or create the key below.
Create a new Binary value, or modify the existing value, called "SoftCompatMode" and set it according to the value data below.
Exit your registry; you may need to restart or log out of Windows for the change to take effect.

|SoftCompatMode||REG_BINARY||00 00 00 00|
Value Name: SoftCompatMode
Data Type: REG_BINARY (Binary Value)
Value Data: (00 00 00 00 = disabled, 01 00 00 00 = enabled)
