Hide the Welcome Screen (Windows 2000) Popular

This setting hides the welcome screen that is normally displayed each time the user logs on to Windows 2000 or XP Professional.

This tweak can be easily applied using WinGuides Tweak Manager.

Open your registry and find or create the key below.

Create a new DWORD value, or modify the existing value, called "NoWelcomeScreen" and set it according to the value data below.

Exit your registry; you may need to restart or log out of Windows for the change to take effect.

Note: Users can still display the welcome screen by selecting it on the Start menu or by typing "Welcome" in the Run dialog box.
