Manage Persistent Connections (Windows NT/2000/XP)

This setting controls whether new network mappings should be created as persistent connections that are automatically reconnected at logon.

Open your registry and find or create the key below.

Create a new String value, or modify the existing value, called "SaveConnections" and set it according to the value data below.

Exit your registry; you may need to restart or log out of Windows for the change to take effect.
