Hide the Office XP Toolbar Help (All Windows)

These settings can be used to hide the toolbar help feature in Office XP applications. Shown in the top right corner it normally allows users to "Type a question for help".

This tweak can be easily applied using WinGuides Tweak Manager.

Open your registry and find the key below.

Create a new DWORD value from the table below for each application where the toolbar help should be hidden.

  • Microsoft Access AWDropdownHidden - Hide in Microsoft Access
  • Microsoft Excel AWDropdownHidden - Hide in Microsoft Excel
  • Microsoft Outlook AWDropdownHidden - Hide in Microsoft Outlook
  • Microsoft Powerpoint AWDropdownHidden - Hide in Microsoft Powerpoint
  • Microsoft Word AWDropdownHidden - Hide in Microsoft Word
Restart any Office XP applications for the changes to take effect.
