CMOS New

CMOS, pronounced see moss, is an acronym for Complementary Metal Oxide Semiconductor.

Due to it's low power requirements CMOS memory is widely used in personal computers to store system parameters. This allows BIOS settings to be maintained using a small battery while a PC is switched off.
