AWA and PC Tools team up to fight spyware at home and in the office

Sydney, Australia, 21st May 2007, AWA, through its new franchise network, has partnered with PC Tools to co-market the award winning PC Tools Spyware Doctor™ and other computer protection products via their franchise service network.

"One of the most common problems our home customers face is dealing effectively with spyware and viruses," said Frank Tuohy, General Manager, AWA Franchising.

"We wanted to be able to offer our home customers quality products that can detect, protect and remove malware and spyware. PC Tools' award winning products are not only excellent products; they are also developed by an Australian owned and operated organisation," he added.

AWA customers will be able to purchase PC Tools, Spyware Doctor and Registry Mechanic directly from their AWA service person. Virus protection and file recovery products will also be included in the agreement.

AWA franchisees will also be using specially developed PC Checkup diagnostic software. This software will help them to quickly troubleshoot issues with a customers PC and to determine the best solution.

"Having recently reported a 120% increase in crime ware, PC Tools see this as a strategic partnership enabling both PC Tools and AWA to work jointly towards increasing awareness about online security," said Rafal Potega, Vice President Sales, Australia and New Zealand.

AWA launched its franchise network earlier this year in order to provide quality technology services to home and small business customers.
