Desktop Mechanic 2.0 offers three major components:

• Computer Optimization: With a single click Desktop Mechanic 2.0 applies a set of tweaks and patches directly into the Windows registry designed to improve system performance - this includes accessing Windows Defrag - cleaning, repairing and compacting the registry as well as shutting down the computer faster by simply closing frozen programs.
