No Disk in Drive
PCtools, upon doing a nightly scan, pops up a message that there is no disk in some drive, no indication of what drive, nothing. I have to cancel the box. I don't know what drive has no disk, but I suspect a USB card reader. Is there some place in SWD that I can tell it to not scan a certain drive? I can't find it if there is.
Thanks

Hey Thosj,
If you would like to scan other drives with Spyware Doctor please go to:
Start Scan=> Custom Scan=> Scan selected disks and folders=> Select disks and folders=> select the drive you wish to scan.
Please note that Spyware Doctor will not scan USB/Flash drives.
Cheers,

OK, but I'm getting a message that the program can't find a disk in some drive IT'S trying to scan by itself, on a scheduled scan, I guess. The message is there every morning. I'm trying to STOP it!! I just thought maybe my SDHC card reader, plugged in to a USB port, was somehow the culprit, but if SWD doesn't scan USB drives, I guess that's not it!
Any more suggestions?

Have you tried what Flair has suggested, that is reinstalling Spyware Doctor. This may solve the problem.

I haven't tried reinstalling yet. I might do that later. I took my SD card reader off, I'll see if I get the message tomorrow morning!! I still somehow think that's what it is. I reckon I should uninstall first, right?

OK, no "No Disk in Drive" message this morning with SD card reader unplugged. I had the message the last few days, WITH it plugged in. Go figger!! It must show up as a hard drive or some such, seeing as SWD wants to scan it and SWD doesn't consider USB drives, which it IS!!

SD will not detect the card reader.
Have you tried to re-install SD? Before you re-install SD, uninstall SD first.
See if this solves the problem.

OK, I left a SD card in the USB SD card reader and I did NOT get the error message. Tonight, I'll take the card out but leave the reader plugged.
History so far.
Get error
Take reader off USB port, no error
Put USB reader back on port, get error
Put card in reader, no error.
Someone convince me this isn't SWD trying to scan the card reader, OK if it has a card, NO DISK error if it sees no card. Can't imagine where else this is coming from!!
And NO, I haven't reinstalled yet!!
