I just installed version 4.0 for a trial. If my trial continues to run like this, I will buy it. However, if version 5.0 comes out in my one year license period, will I be able to upgrade for free?
I have heard that V5.0 will be a significant improvement (on an already top notch product).
The purchase of Spyware Doctor or any other PC Tools products comes with a 12 months subscription which includes free software upgrades, Smart Updates and full technical support during this period.
I had understood v 5 was to be released on 29th Jan. Is it out? Why has my current update still showing v4?
Looking forward to receiving v5 as many improvements have been promised on what I consider to be one of the best already. ( I'm thinking for example of the loading speed and initial splash screen for example). I do however like the relatively small regular update cycle as against some other suites I have used which can be huge.

It's in a public beta that as released on the 29th. But there are many bugs to work out. Best to wait until it is out of beta.
After reading many of the comments about SD 5 I am inclined to agree. I really like the program and so far (!) also quite like the FW+ standalone product - after using ZA, and then Agnitum Outopost FW for many years.
