Default Having Problem With PCTSSVC.EXE

I am using Kaspersky's latest version of internet security. It scans all of my startup programs and seems to always alert me with a trojan message of:

Trojan Program
Trojan-PSW-Win32.Nilage.AHD

Running Program
PCTSSVC.EXE\Process.SDP

Running module contains trojan program and cannot be disinfected.

I know that the PCTSSVC.EXE is PC Tools. What is going on?

JC

Hi
Are u running sd+av or standalone?
Please do not run sd+av and your suite because it means you are running 2 av programs and running 2 av programs always cause conflicts
Also,Do you have the kernell compatibility mode checked?
Hope this helps

Hi JC.
I had exactly the same problem starting yesterday. I too use KIS, and I found I had inadvertantly checked the "enable kernel compatibility mode" box.

Un-checking the ekcm box and a reboot, followed by a full scan by KIS resulted in the problem being fixed.

Vecchio was right on the money.
