Smile Impressed

Wow, I am Impressed.
I have had SD 4 for a year now and have loved it. My computer has had very few spyware problems since getting SD. I tried SD 5 some months ago now, but had so many problems that I went back to 4.
I have just decided to give 5 another go after reading the forums, but was a little worried on how much it was going to slow my browser,(Opera). To my delight, Sd 5 upgraded 4 with no problems, started faster than 4 ever did, and what is more, my browser is actually running faster as well.
great job guys. Thanks

Don't know about that over-install - -if in fact you did an over-install. I think it to be risky with version and build changes. However, like you I have had virtually no consistent problems with overall machine speed and or opera browser speed. Since I started using SD (about 2 1/2 years), I have had one problem and SD took care of that in about 30 seconds. At the first install though, I was enlightened as to how inadequate some of these other companies were. There were bugs all in my machine. So in the eyes of this user, I gots no B**** and think this company is great. Their Vista transition has been a little bumpy but overall it does not appear to be any worse than say Zone Alarm or others that I could mention. Some in this forum will retort with go look at this company and, and, and and. When they do then I suggest they navigate to this site (http://secunia.com/) and tell us about it. If you have not done so, download their site gaurd. It is an add-on. Some peeps have a problem with it. I have had none. Hey, have a great day.

It seems that you haven't even tried the new build and your making these assumptions. I think pctools get the point, you don't have to keep raising this issue over and over because im sure the moderators or support would have picked it up. I have tried build 258 and all seems to be working well. I didn't see any problems with the counting files. I actually like the new scanning bar and percentages of the scan. I currently went back to 205 since I haven't had any problems either with this build.

How do you really know the counters are incorrect anyhow? SDv5 seems to have constant changes made to it, so the counters could be correct? Why don't you just wait and see if there is a problem with the next build before raising these issues.

Well 258 has been rolled back. So you wont be able to get this version unless you ask someone that already has it. But from another thread I saw, you wont be able to get the latest update on this build anyways. So no point.

After some 'new' info: What they, PC Tools, said in their sticky was not quite what they should have said, I reverted back to 205 yesterday.

Just finished another full scan and:
Counter on 258 = 207.000, scan time 36 minutes
Counter on 205 = 213.000, scan time 44 minutes

Only change in between: change from 258 to 205, but it is all irelevant: 258 is gone!
