Default Backup CD

Is it worth it to buy the backup CD? What does it contain? Someone told me it is useful if you ever got to a point where you could not boot up. Could you run a scan using the CD to get rid of infections?
Thanks

Hi debls,

Please note that the PC Tools CD (CD on Demand) contains the TRIAL version of all our software products, the same files that can be downloaded from our web site, however you will only be able to activate the program for which you have purchased a license code.

You may use the unregistered trial versions to evaluate their suitability to your needs.

The PC Tools CD is available for those people that wish to keep a backup copy of the programs to negate the need for future downloads, for example due to reformatting your computer.

are you thinking of the AOSS cd?

that's free and it lets you boot & scan

don't bother with the backup CD, just put the normal installer on a CD
