Hi,

Unlike others, I am not having a single bit of trouble using SD version 5. I do, however, have a question that doesn’t seem to be covered in your help topics:

After completing a full system scan, I receive the typical message “all clean, etc.” Yet, when I review my history, it claims “one infection ignored.” Right clicking the message doesn’t help. What exactly is being ignored, and why? Also, if I am clean, why do I seem to have an infection?

Your thoughts, please.

I too, am having problems with SD 5--blue screen memory dumps etc etc since first update of 172.
Now have version 176, but this is the alert message on my symantic log for this morning-over and over many times.
What does it mean ??
I have SD av checked to be disabled also.
Win XP w/2-Zone alarm -System Mechanic-SD and Norton all running and all are updated daily.
My computer was running extremely well until the update of SD 5. Not sure yet if build 176 cured the blue screen problem, as it was sporadic .

Hi
This is related to your Norton antivirus blocking what it thinks is a malicious attack on its system. Try adding "swdsvc.exe" to an allow list.

Did not get all of the first part of the log alert file with the current BSOD dump event (since updateing to version 176)
but here is what I could get for you.
temp\NSIS\A~NSISU_exe=A~NISISU
temp\NSIS\B~NSISU_exe=B~NISISU
microsoft\Pchealth error reporting\Kernal faults

Sure hope this helps, as Registry Mechanic is working overtime to repair all the new SD problems.

By Default Spyware Doctor includes 'Information Only' - Low level results in the scan results.

These 'Information Only' results are just to let you know that you have advertising cookies. They will appear in the scan results but they are (as the name suggests) information only and they will not be removed.

To stop the 'Information Only' results appearing in the scan results go to Settings > General > Untick 'Include Information Only low level Threats in scan results'.

You can remove these items by clearing the cookies from your browser.

Thanks for the info flameangeljs, we'll pass this to the developers to analyze regarding the BSOD.

What you could try is "Enable kernel compatibility mode (requires reboot)". Please tick this checkbox and see if this resolves it.
