Unistall now can't log in???? gggrrrr!!

hi all,

Having followed the recent auto-update to V5 i began to have quite a few problems and noticed my machine running a fair bit slower (particularly at start up and shut down)

WinXP SP2 Dell Inspiron 820 notebook.

Today i unistalled v5 with the plan of reinstalling and shut down (as instructed). Now i can't get back in??? I can get to the windows log in screen (although this is very slow) but it just seems to hand once i put my password in and log in??

Please can someone offer me some advise as to what i can do to get back into using my PC

What build of SDv5 did you install?

The 5.0.0.174 is an improvement in speed as compared to previous versions of SD. On my computer it causes a minor slow down, which is almost unnoticeable.

I don't think the problem you are having is related to SD, because you uninstalled SD already. An uninstall should not affect anything related to logging in. If you installed SD and rebooted and had problems after then it may be related. What else did you do to the machine before shutting down? did you install any other apps? make any drastic changes?

You may need to do a system restore to a previous date.
