Default Can you help your consumers?

Dear PC Tools,

Consumers buy spyware protection to keep their computer protected from spyware, malware, rootkits and other know issues which may result in their computers being slow or non-fuctional.

When purchasing these products, we hope that the product will do the job that it is advertised to do and not cause more harm to our computers than the very items that they were designed to protect us against.

Since upgrading to Spyware Doctor version 5.whatever I have experienced nothing but daily headaches.

Could you please inform those of us who don't have several hours a day to devote to installing and re-installing your software mutiple times, when you finally have a product that won't require disabling our fire-walls, anti-virus programs and all of our computer protection to try to update your product, and when you have a version that won't read that I've only scanned 20% of my 110gig/hd after 4 hours of scanning.

Could you please e-mail us when you have a version that works so we don't have to sift through all of these forums to see if perhaps one of the many issues that we are having with your product has a "temporary work around" that requires more time than we can devote to get the product we paid money for to work properly?

Could you do that for us?

Please?

Pretty Please?

If you do not have time to skim through the forums, you can just save this link as a favourite http://www.pctools.com/forum/showthread.php?t=44951 and check this every now and again. If you see that all or most of the main issues are resolved then I guess its safe to install it, or you can just come back when it looks like most have been resolved and check the forums again.

I downloaded the 5.0.0.174 yesterday and so far so good in the last 2 days or so. No major issues at the moment and quite happy with its performance.

Cheers,
Chippa

The main point is that PC Tools released a product with so many problems. It is no better than a beta.

PC Tools has taken no responsibility for releasing such a poorly written program. Totally unprofessional and completely unsatisfactory

They may have released the Beta earlier then it was suppose to, however, it looks like they have resolved the issues in the latest build 5.0.0.174 and are working to make things right. They have apologized and thats good enough for me.

Cheers,
Chippa

Just wandering if you dislike v5 so much, why do u still use v5?

I got 3 computer.

installed v5 on 1 computer and worked fine and the rest is still v4 because v5 had some compability issues with some other application on the 2 computers.

I know v5 had some problem, but at least they acknowledge the problem and working on resolving the problem.
