Smile Spyware Doctor 5.0

I was told last night in an e-mail from PC Tools that there would be a revised edition of spyware doctor version 5.0 out the 3rd of April with all the fixes in it. Lets hope so.

Default How to stop upgrades until 3 April ?

And there is a link to ver 4 -
http://www.pctools.com/spyware-doctor/version4/

I guess, just turn off auto-updates ??? until then?

Any way to stop just the v5 upgrad, -vs- signature updates ?

I was also worried about telling customers, NOT to upgrade.
For those that can't distinguish this as a temporary situation.

Just continue to use the smart updates feature and it works fine.

Default Updating

You can continue updating version 4.0 without any problems. It runs V4.0 updates, not V5.0 updates so basically until you upgrade to 5.0 you will be receiving 4.0 updates. What a mouthful Basically they are two separate products.

and you just need to ignore the alert saying that a new version is available, when you perform a Smart Update.
