Default why was site guard removed from 5.0.0.174

Why was site guard(cookie blocker, popup blocker an phising)removed from 5.0.0.174. Was this causing this a problem in earlier versions of 5.0. Without this, spyware doctor is not complete as it is an integral part that is missing.. Version 4 had site guard it provided better protection than what was in ie6. I know a sepatate download will be offered, but when. I wonder if I should stay with sd 4, for site guard or go to sd 5 for the faster loading.

Since sd5 now runs as a service, how much more computer resources is it using vs sd4

Hi
If you want total protection including siteguard i advise returning to SDv4 (you can download it from www.pctools.com/spyware-doctor/version4/)
PC Tools have remover siteguard to improve it, im sure it will be released soon. I would expect it to be re-released sometime next week.
As a service SDv5 uses LESS resources than SDv4 (I have seen 11MB ram quoted for SDv5 whereas SDv4 uses between 40-50MB ram)
Hope that helps
