Spyware Doctor + Antivirus Problems

I upgraded my spyware doctor on my windows vista pc to the new version with antivirus. After rebooting my pc was running slow, my cpu stayed maxed out at 100% and I could not access the internet. Also, my sidebar did not come up. Before I suspected spyware doctor as being the problem I disabled my windows firewall. The only browser that could access the internet was Opera! IE7, MS Messenger and Firefox could not access the internet. After uninstalling spyware doctor and rebooting, everything was back to normal. I then loaded spyware doctor on my AMD 64 bit pc running windows XP pro in 32 bit mode. I kept getting the blue screen of death! I then loaded it on my laptop pc (celeron cpu) running windows xp pro and it caused my computer to run slow! I like spyware doctor so I think I'm gonna revert back to version 5 without the antivirus. I had no problem running that under windows vista. I was originally running spysweeper & adaware on my laptop and 64 bit pc.

Which version of SD are you using? 174? The internet issue should be fixed as well as the slow down problems.

I'm assuming you didn't but did you happen to have another anti-virus running at the same time?
