Default Please post carefully (i.e. in the right section)

Hi All

Just a minor anoyance but both these threads:
http://www.pctools.com/forum/showthread.php?t=46300
http://www.pctools.com/forum/showthread.php?t=46027 (has now been moved, thanks)
relate to SD5 with AV plugin, not PCTAV.

Maybe a forum moderator could move them to the SD5 section.

Pete

Default Greater product name differentiation needed?

Maybe PC Tools should consider renaming PCTAV or SD w/AV plug-in so that their names are completely different. It seems all the most recent posts re SD are in the PCTAV section.

Continuing the theme
Registry Mechanic
Spyware Doctor
Privacy Guardian....

PCTAV could become 'Virus Plumber'

lol

Well, if you're really curious about it, he was making a civilized reply to your post which lambasted him for being an elitist when he was simply trying to he helpful. I see you deleted your own post before making this reply, btw.

Maybe 'inflxshn' didn't delete it. PC Tools might have removed it.
Using terms like "socially impotent", "simian", "hack", "cyber god"(sarcastically) and now "insane" to describe someone you've never met is at best, ignorant, if not, just plain rude.
Whether or not my contributions consist of "textual pablum", as 'inflxshn' asserted, is open for anyone to determine for themselves.

Big deal, whine more about it, it's obvious you will.

You posts in regard to my issue were not only not helpful but more aimed at making sure posts were put in the right rows and columns. Granted this is a forum and whatever can be posted but so far my issues are with antivirus which not yourself or anyone else has offered useful suggestions toward. Just "post in the right section." It doesn't bother PC tools where the posts are yet you've put up numerous complaints about it. You have no clue what is going on with my machine, don't bother availing yourself to the issue. It's pc tools duty to carry on with tech support, your replies to the issue are more concerned with floor cleaning the forum than being constructive or analytical.

What's even more ridiculous is you keep trying to get a post moved out of a category that it's supposed to be in, I'm complaining about antivirus, if I was inaccurate about some detail big deal, step up and leave it alone. Nit picking about posts is unproductive especially when you're wrong about it and won't let go.

Let PC tools do the support on this one, you're not qualified, obviously. Stand up and help or shut up and leave it alone, or go on whining , I could care less.

or keep responding to messages that aren't there later, waste more time. I'm just going to wait for PCT to get helpful with a machine their product straight up destroyed.

Someone is whining. I agree, I've wasted my time.

Indeed. Actually, I wouldn't be surprised at all if this "in-something" joker happens to be one of the people AChen was referring to in this thread.

Default Still Waiting for Tech Support from...?

Awaiting any response that actually deals with the original problem rather than useless inaccurate critiques about what section my posts about Antivirus complaints should be in and the ensuing prattle. The predilection for irrelevency here is nicely counter weighted by a growing contagion toward an inability to address and grasp the core issue. Seems there's some misdirection at work here by some.

I'm here to reiterate what I've said from the very first post: Antivirus is a problem. It bluescreens my laptop EVERY TIME IT'S installed. No relevant responses thus far. I've clarified on numerous posts STARTING WITH THE FIRST ONE that PCT AV has been causing problems and thus far nothing resembling technical expertise has been forth coming. The responses were some tripe about where my post was placed and the succeeding indulgence in a brief frat boy comarderie, undoubtedly between a seemingly fake poster (troll) that feigns assistance for members (likely for unsavory means,) and his sock puppet.

Numerous PM's to moderators have resulted in nothing. No one on the board can address this problem so... still waiting for a comment from TS. I've clarified the two OS, given the symptoms and will continue to until someone shows responsibility rather than the previously stated obsessive irrelevancy. I've stated from the beginning what the symptoms are, what machines it occured on and now I have specific messages from the windows screens that came up: BAD_POOL_CALLER and PAGE_FAULT_IN_NONPAGED_AREA. Called PCT and no one's home at the moment. The problem is complex, it's left the OS on one machine with an annoying glitch; it's hanging and using heavy CPU time. Antivirus won't scan on one machine at all; never starts.

When anyone feels they've got the stones to handle this one feel free to step up, the other option is continuing to make posts tangential to my concerns. I've Already used half the tests on UBCD, done an SFC (System File Check) and various scans through safe mode; nothing. System restore, which rarely works anyway was ineffective. And as stated from the first post, I have a corrupted operating system.

Even if my first post was inaccurate in character of software, the following comments could have still been helpful as well as/instead of being corrective, but no, it was more important for some to be right then helpful. Inciting aggravation is a sure sign of a smoke and mirrors poster. Think about yourself and your own posts before getting on your pedestal, that is the embodiment of character. With all the thin skinned crying about a now obviously more than 'minor annoyance' for some, I noticed not a single post contained any useful technical help/suggestions regarding the actual issue(s) at hand. All this lends further credence to Achen's recent sticky post in regards to characters cruising here only to stir the pot.

And someone seems to think that the forum (if not the world) revolves around him, and that people are forbidden from making posts that do not directly cater to his wants and needs, and that the retribution for doing so shall be delivered personally by rabid accusations of elitism.

Whine, whine, whine.
