Spyware Dr V5 + BSOD

Hi,
I downloaded the (release version 5.0 Spyware Dr)
Computer working good

Step 1:
Commenced installing Spware Dr v5.0 over version 4 to the default Dir. (no other option)
got a BSOD part way during the install of Ver 5.
xxx STOP : 0X0000007E (0XC0000005, 0X804D9E74, OXA9B44A74, 0XA9B44770)
(MiniMemory dump attached)
Restart

Step 2:
Attempt Re install setup.exe (Spyware Dr v5.0) to the default dir (no other option)
Stops prior to install starting;
Runtime Error (at 118:737) " is not a valid integer value.
Restart
Restart

Step 3:
Attempt to run Spyware Dr v4.
(No longer starts)...nothing !
Restart

Step 4:
Attempt to uninstall Spyware Dr V4
Error : unins000.dat is corrupted can't uninstall.

Computer working bad

Apart from the V4 being extremely resource hungry, I thought it was really good but I expected more from V5.

If Spyware Doctor is unable to be completely uninstalled due to an incorrect uninstall or accidental deletion, Spyware Doctor may need to be reinstalled and then uninstalled to completely remove.


Uninstall Spyware Doctor:

Please complete the steps outlined below to uninstall Spyware Doctor from the computer.

1. Right click on the Spyware Doctor icon (if it exists) in the notification area (next to the date/time on the Windows taskbar) and select Exit from the menu that appears
2. Download Spyware Doctor from www.pctools.com/spyware-doctor/download/
3. Install the downloaded file from step 2.
4. Ensure that you have fully exited the application. To fully exit from Spyware Doctor please right click on the Spyware Doctor icon in the notification area (next to the clock on the Windows taskbar) and select Exit from the menu that appears. Please also close any instances of Internet Explorer or other browsers.
5. Perform an uninstall of Spyware Doctor from:
Start > Programs > Spyware Doctor > Uninstall Spyware Doctor
6. **IMPORTANT** Make sure that the Spyware Doctor folder (which by default would be under 'C:\Program Files') no longer exists. If the 'Spyware Doctor' folder still exists, please delete the folder.

Thanks for all the info and the memory dump. I have passed this to the developers and will have this fixed asap.

If you cannot properly uninstall SDv4, try Supports suggestion as the uninstall file is corrupt.

This problem has now been resolved in SDv 5.0.0.177.
