Default cannot downlaod updates

I have tried to update my antivirus for over a month. i sent an email to support but no answer back. Everytime i try to update my computer freezes or will not comply. I have to control /alt /delete to get rid of it and try again to no avail. today I tried to update only a small proportion and this worked but now i cant update the rest to bring my computer up to a high protection.
I shows that i have updated and wont let me click on again when relistically I havent updated at all.

Hi gogo,

Can you please provide more information?
When you say you try to update, do you mean your are trying to perform a Smart Update? or trying to install a newer version?

What OS are you running?
When does the computer freeze? while trying to Smart update?
Are you running any other security programs?

Uninstall/re-install PCTAV from http://www.pctools.com/free-antivirus/. When you have uninstalled PCTAV go to c:\Program Files\PC Tools AntiVirus and delete this folder before re-installing. Try Smart Updating again.

By OS = Operating System, ie, Windows XP, Vista, 98 etc...

To check what is running, you can go to the system tray at the bottom right hand corner of the screen Or task manager.
