Default "Monitor in background"

Does the Anti-virus protect for virus ect. when it is only "monitor in the backgroud" and not run at Windows Startup?
The same question goes for the Spyware Doctor?

Sorry about my english, but I will try again. In the start-Up options you can check if Spyware Doctor should run when Windows starts. If that option is off but the options "monitor in background" is on, does Spyware Doctor protect you when your on the Internet?
The same question goes for the Anti-Virus?

Hi Rottie,

If you have the OnGuard tools enabled for both Spyware Doctor and PCTAV, then your system will be protected as this provides real time protection. To turn this on, Status-> make sure Onguard displays "ON".

You will still need to smart update/scan your computer every once in a while to ensure your computer is clean of spyware and viruses.

Cheers,
Chippa
