Default Updated to Vista, cannot download

I've recently updated my computer to Windows Vista Home Premium Edition, and have been periodically trying to download the PC Tools AntiVirus program, Spyware, Register, and Privacy Guardian. The error message that continues to appear is that the directory name is invalid. Any suggestions on how to bypass or correct this message? I've uninstalled all programs then tried to reinstall, which has produced the same message. Any suggestions?

Is this when trying to download the install files from the web site? If so, what browser are you using? Or are you talking about doing a Smart Updates?

I am not talking about smart updates, just when I try to download each program from the web site. I have a product key & license for each program, but I can't download them, because this error message consistantly appears.

What browser are you using? At what point does the message come up? Can you download files from other sites? What about with a different browser?

Hi Etruth18,

If you are having problems downloading from the PC Tools website, you can try downloading the pctools software from www.download.com.

It would also be good if you could provide some more info on what arden42 has asked.
