Default Cannot uninstall PC Tools AV under Vista x64.

Hi,
When I try to uninstall PC Tools AV, I get a runtime error.
---------------------------
Error
---------------------------
Runtime Error (at 33:571):

Internal error: Unknown constant "eaca0431-bfdd-472d-ad5d-4c504c7fc651"
---------------------------
OK
---------------------------

After clicking okay, the uninstaller closes. Is there a way to manually remove PCTAV or should I wait until the next version?

Thanks.

Default unable to uninstall

Hi SithToast, I had the similiar problem, and one of the support guys suggested me to close all instances of PC Tools AntiVirus, and perform the following steps to successfully uninstall it. Please try and see if you can uninstall it.

Please keep in mind that if you are unable to completely uninstall due to an incorrect uninstallation or accidental deletion, then you may need to reinstall and then uninstall to completely remove it.

Can you please follow the steps below.

1. Right click on the PC Tools AntiVirus icon (if it exists) in the notification area (next to the date/time on the Windows taskbar) and select Exit from the menu that appears
2. Download PC Tools AntiVirus from www.pctools.com/anti-virus/download/
3. Install the downloaded file from step 2
4. After the desktop loads up, please right click on the PC Tools AntiVirus icon in the notification area (next to the date/time on the Windows taskbar) and select Exit from the menu that appears
5. Next, please uninstall the current version by navigating to the Start button/Programs/PC Tools AntiVirus folder and execute the Uninstall PC Tools AntiVirus shortcut.
6. Restart your PC [Required]
7. Navigate to C:\Program Files\ folder, locate & delete the "PC Tools Antivirus" folder [Very important - must be deleted]

* Then delete any folder called [PC Tools Antivirus] if exists under :-

C:\Documents and Settings\[your user name]\Application Data\

C:\Documents and Settings\All Users\Application Data\PC Tools\

Please note that Application Data folder is a hidden folder - Please DO NOT delete the Application Data folder, Only remove the [PC Tools Antivirus] folder

SithToast, hopefully you have uninstalled your PC Tools AntiVirus. Cheers

I am experiencing the same issue. Problem is, NO internet pages will load under ANY browser. Also, yim and aim chat programs can't log in, but msn can.

What operating system are you running? and did you experience this on previous builds of PCTAV?

I just figured out how to get rid of PC TOOLS. You have to install the latest version and then uninstall it right after. I checked all of c: to make sure it was completely gone and only found one other folder and it deleted fine. I hope it works for anyone else having problems.
