Default Word File properties in Windows Explorer (W2K)

Does someone know how can I have the customized MSWord file properties exhibited in Windows Explorer?

Right-click one of the column names in Windows Explorer for some more columns you can have visible.

Thks, but that way you can see only the traditional properties/columns of a file in Windows Explorer. I would like to show in Windows Explorer the properties I created in MSWord (customized properties). Can you help me?

If I am in a Windows Explorer window and right click on a MS Word file (.doc) and select Properties, it displays the tabs that include 'Custom'.

When I do a wave over one of the .doc files it displays a Tool Tip that shows the Author and Title of the document.

I wonder if the 'Custom' tab could be added to display in this manner? (I don't know how.)

You are right, but I would like to see the MSWord custom file properties of all files at the same time in the Windows Explorer (to use some features like ordering). When I try to choose the columns to exhibit the customized MSWord properties in Windows Explorer it doesn´t list those properties.
I guess some registry changes should be made...
What do you think?

I believe the Properties are set at Name, Size, Type and Modified and controlled by Explorer.exe.

I think you would have to recompile it to make it do something different.

I do have a Shell extension that calls on a .dll to display the ID3 tags on MP3s in a Popup window within Explorer when I do a wave over. Naturally it requires a .dll to perform the action. See MP3 ShellExt under the Freeware page for the reference.

I do not think your desire can be satisfied. I could be wrong though. I like to think that some programmer could write something but it would be a program or .dll versus a registry setting.

Sorry not to offer something more or better.
