remove safe-site from windows me (WME)

does anyone know a way to remove a safe-site "parental" lock on a ME computer running IE 5.5?
one my room mates brought his parents home computer to school and actually can't access some school websites because it thinks them "inapropriate" and sends him to a randomly chosen 'safe-site'.
anyone have any luck removing this from the registry? i can't seem to get it out of wherever it needs to be removed.
it seems that his parents don't remember the password they supplied for it, and think it's hilarious that we're having such a difficult time with it....
