Default ad blockers (All)

Hi all!

I was on an adventure to find a better pop-up ad killer when I ran accross adbegone test page but it failed there own product.. LMFAO.. Real good for selling your product when you own test page fails the product...

Any way Here is the page if you want to check how yours rates..
<a target="_blank" href=http://www.chq.us/abg/testpopups.htm>http://www.chq.us/abg/testpopups.htm</a>

I did find a product that passed this page but i'm still testing the product to see if it will run with adsubtract and zonealarm....

All of the pop up blockers that I have tried don't want to play with my other programs.... So this one better work...

The one I'm playing with now is pop-up stopper professional... from panicware.com

Thanks
Mac!!!

Hey, Mac ...

If you haven't done so already, check out <a target="_blank" href=http://www.popupcop.com/>PopUpCop</a>.

It does pass the tests on the link you included. I've been using it for a little over two months and it's the best one I've tried so far.

Hi Tom

I gave pop-up stopper professional the boot it crashed my system too I Got the old BSOD... It doesn't want to play with adsubtract, zonealarm and the IESpy list either.

I can tell you this PopUpCop has pass all of my test so far...

I moved the slide all the way to the right so it would turn on stuff that I didn't need blocked and I also changed the allow cookies to allow cause I use adsutract and the IESpy list to block cookies,,

I ran it through my crash test pages and Guess what no BSOD yet... We will see...

I will load it on my wife's (Barbara) desktop she is the real Beta tester in this house if there is a glitch she will find.. LOL

Problems with other Pop-up stop
IE hangs give BSOD
They have even caused my sound driver to quit working... No sound after you recover from the end task thing...
When you reboot after a issue the computer will NOT complete the reboot cylce it stops will a blinking cursor in the upper left had corner... you have to push the reset or cycle the power switch...

LOL I have a windows ME platform going and a windows 98SE test platform...

So we will see!

Also I see popupcop has a beta version have you tried that one yet?....

I will have to surf there site and see if it will install over the old ....

Thanks
Mac!!!

Hey tom are using ME or 98SE!

I just tried that page using windows 98SE and they must have a Browser detector and it redirects ya!cause you don't get the same page when you use 98SE all the javascript stuff is missing.... I turned off Popupcop when I got there and I didn't get anything so I took a quick look at the HTML....

I'm rolling over with the little rascal laugh no popup blocker needed on that page... for windows 98SE

It worked in windows ME LOL

I have now installed it on the wife's desktop.... it works great blocking stuff and you can still open links that have pop-ups...

Barbara did her Avon order it is a https site and all went well...

Thanks
Mac!!!
