Default Windows Explorer (WXP)

In Windows Explorer how do I change the path it opens up into? the program currently opens up into My Documents but I want it to open up into the root of C:\ so that its showing all of my main folders Eg: My Documents, Program Files, System.
Is there anyway of changing the path?

I have wondered about this myself. If I open explorer from the start menu it defaults to My Documents, the last thing I want to look at, and if I open it with the hotkeys Win+E it defaults to My Computer, much better. So there must some settings for this.

Dirk you need to fix your link.

If TweakXP does this than there is a manual way of doing it also.

I've not found a way to change the Right-click of Start and Explore [nor the Right-click of My Computer and Explore] so I use custom links in the Quick Launch bar and the Programs menu.

What is the correct URL to the site referenced in your post on WinGuides? Would like to check it out as I have a couple of other quirks with WXP that I'm trying to fix, hack or otherwise change...

Thanks much.

You can't update the shortcut target to

C:\WINDOWS\EXPLORER.EXE /e, c:\

like you can in WindowsME? That starts in the c:\...add folders after the c:\ to wherever you want it to open to.

Hey, Dirk ...

Thanks ever-so-much ... I've been looking for that fix for over a month.
