I use a 56k external modem and a sy=tandard dial-up connection with my ISP. Since swapping to XP from Me I have frequent disconnections which I never had before. I feel that somewhere in the modem set-up something is amiss. Can someone tell me what should be checked and unchecked on the modem set-up tabs?

Probably just need to find updated drives for XP. Do you know the brand/model?

Model is Taicom MR56SVS and the drivers are the latest XP down-loaded from their site. I feel the problem is in the settings somewhere. Thanks for the suggestion though
