Hi Loyall,
Defragmentation with the previous version worked without any problems?
Did You try reinstalling RM?
Best Regards

Compact Registry
Hello Loyall,
what you will need to do is the following:
1. Run a 'complete registry scan'
2. Run a windows repair disk on restart on the drive that you wish to compact
Instructions to do this are located on http://support.microsoft.com/kb/315265
3. Perform a Compact Registry Scan.
This should resolve your problem.
Ideally, before performing a compact Registry in RM you should complete the steps 1&2 highlighted above.

So Magician are you insisting that there is no RM compacting bug?
As for your work-around, you are not being clear. Is a 'complete registry scan' different or the same thing as a usual RM Compact Registry?

Are there any other Recommended Actions listed other than "Compact Registry"? If there are, please tell us what those are.

Apologies Loyall,
A complete registry scan is found under the performance tab > Clean your registry.
The reason for the workaround is that sometimes a compact registry requires the registry to be cleaned and sectors in the disk to be repaired so that a compact registry scan can perform to its full potential. Compacting the registry is similar to a disk defrag in that it compacts sectors of the disk that contain the registry. If one of these sectors is damaged or need repairing then the compacting cannot move the sector thus compact registry cannot perform to its full potential. The alternative is true. Your registry may already be compacted %100 already and you have not made any major system/application changes that effect or modify the registry. When you perform the compact again, compacting may not have found anything to compact and thus it mistakes not finding anything to compact as an incomplete compact. I believe you are experiencing the latter and is a bug we are aware of and are looking to fix it sometime in the future.
This bug however has no affect on the performance of you Registry mechanic and your Computer.
Regards,
Magician.

Thank you Magician. I find your reply a little wordy, so let me parse it, and you tell me if I have correctly understood you.
First, "complete registry scan" is your description of what the RM program calls "clean registry." For ease in understanding I suggest you stick to the terminology used in the application. That will avoid confusion.
Second, there is a known bug in RM11.0.1.716 that does not recognize when the registry is compacted, so it keeps prompting the user to compact the registry when it is already compact. Thus the user is never able to achieve "good system health."
Third, the suggested workaround consists of running a windows check (and fix) disk, which multi-hour process is unlikely to achieve good system health.
Do I have that correct?

Hello Loyall,
1. You are right when I am referring to 'complete registry scan'. It is a scan option within 'Clean your Registry'
2. The bug in RM I am referring to is that even though you complete the 'Compact Registry', there are certain scenarios/circumstances that will not enable you to complete the 'Compact Registry' to its full capability. One of these scenarios include are if there are broken or corrupt sectors where the registry is located and 'Compact Registry' can't move those files hence why I have given you a step to perform a Windows check disk so that sectors may be repaired to enable the 'Compact Registry' to function in the best possible way. Good system health is obtained in RM by completely performing certain functions and the 'Compact Registry' is one of them.
3. More than a workaround, it is a suggested fix to why after compact registry, your system health is set to medium. Windows Check disk will help keep your disk healthy and can help improve the functionality of 'Compact Registry'
Can you please provide a screen shot of your dashboard? Is 'Compact Registry' located as a recommended action on the dashboard or is it just found in the Performance Tab or RM?
Kind regards,
Magician
