How do I disable PC Tools from starting every time my pc boots? I have use a dial-up connection so I do not have to worry about the 'always on' connection. I do not see an option to do so in any of the menus.

I believe if you shut down the Firewall before shutting down Windows, the service will not restart on the next boot.

You have to do 2 things:

    • Turn the service to manual
    • Remove the auto start of the UI out of the registry

I am unsure of where "turning the service to manual" resides. From what I see in the Services and Controller app, I only have 3 choices and none of them are manual.

Also, won't the registry key will rebuild itself once the firewall is activated?

Are these options that are not in the free version?

I should add that switching PC Tools to manual via the Manage option does not work; it still loads when Windows starts.
